Pilsner Urquell is the world’s first golden lager. As the original pilsner from Plzén, Czech Republic, it has now given its name to a whole new style of beer, Pilsner (pilsner, pills). Pilsner Urquell is brewed using Saaz hops from the Zatec region which gives the beer's hoppy aromas, pleasing bitterness and two-row Moravian barley which gives Pilsner Urquell's famous pale, golden hue. Every single bottle and keg of Pilsner Urquell is brewed and packaged in the Czech Republic at the brewery in Plzen.
While most lagers give away most of their taste in the front of the mouth, Pilsner Urquell only hints at its flavour there, developing in the mouth, followed by a refreshing, clean finish and balanced aftertaste, practically inviting you to have another.

Brewed to 4.4% ABV, Pilsner Urquell offers a perfect balance of fuller flavours. Unlike most lagers Pilsner Urquell’s taste develops in the mouth, offering a caramel sweetness front of mouth, balanced with a pleasing bitterness mid-mouth, followed by a clean finish.
Different pours give different experiences. The classic Na dvakrat has a golden body topped with a thick creamy head. Hladinka is a smoother, creamier serve and finally, the Milko is presented as virtually pure foam giving the most aromatic and sweet of serves.
