Founded by Barry Connolly in 1992 Richmond Marketing first started with its beginnings distributing Clearly Canadian, a flavoured water that was popular in Northern Ireland, but which was yet to become popular in the Republic of Ireland.
Red Bull was first imported into Ireland in November 1995 by Richmond Marketing, it took a further three years to become an "overnight success". In 2000, Richmond Marketing gained the distribution rights for Red Bull in Northern Ireland, creating an all-island business.
Richmond's next "big deal"- came in the form of gaining distribution rights for Evian and Volvic brands in late 2005.
Kopparberg was added to the portfolio in 2006 with great success and in 2008 Richmond Marketing partnered with SAB Miller to distribute their range of brands in the Irish market, including Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Pilsner Urquell and Kozel.
Hendrick's Gin was launched in the Richmond Portfolio from 2010, and has been going from strength to strength ever since. 2013 saw Fevertree Mixers, one of the more recent success stories. As well as Hendrick's, Richmond distribute the William Grant's and Campari Brands portfolio. This includes brands such as Sailor Jerry, Drambuie, Glenfiddich, Aperol, Wild Turkey and Irish Mist,
More recently, Richmond have been expanding beyond the beverage market into the quickly growing healthy snacks category. 2017 saw the launch of Bounce Protein Energy Balls and Hippeas chickpea snacks.
These additions to the brand portfolio ensured Richmond Marketing cemented its position as Ireland’s fastest-growing beverage distribution company, and today Richmond Marketing are continually introducing exciting and innovative brands to the Irish market place.
